well i am hoping 2 see mike phelps win 8 gold since he is up 4 tomorrow in swimming & the cuban guy swear 2 beat china's liu shung in hurling & usa don't make a fool out of themselves in basketball again, since i love the Olympic there is not much 2 say by the fact that this year is hosted by china & it's a big step 4 china

Michael Phelps was crazy, he fixed the gap that was made by his team member before he took off, by judging from the +/- meter

I must say, even with all the buzz of the pool in the cube not being olympic regulation and that it made the swimmers faster due to less resistance, Phelps is genetically built to be fast.

Olympic regulation sized pools are 2m deep and 8 lanes
the Cube's pool was 3m deep and 10 lands, thus allowing a better streamlined flow all around

as for Phelps..heres the fact..
he's 6'4
has the legs of a 6'0 man
has the upper body torso up of a 6'9 man
wing span of 6'7
size 14 feet, large hands

the larger wingspan and body gives him the perfect "triangle" for swimming, thus the now Speedo LZR racer watersuit does not work for Phelps.

Being double jointed at the knees and elbows allow him to kick faster and gives him a VERY LARGE advantage especially in the butterfly.
thus that extra half stroke at the end of the 200m fly was soo crutial.
