PostSubject: Annoying tire sizes. Any other suggestions?   Sun Aug 10, 2008 12:28 am

Currently have RE050A's which I adore but would like to try another tire.
The only other tires I am slightly interested in that I have found that come in 205/45/17 are;

- Dunlop DZ101
- Yokohama S drives.
- Federal 595EVO

I don't want any RE's such as RE070 or RE001's and I don't want tires that are too soft so RT's are out of the question.
I am not stretching my tires and don't really want another width.
Would love Falken 452's if only they came in my size.
Anyone got any other tire suggestions or have any comments about the 3 stated above?

What are the tires being used for street, auto cross, road course or all?

Street and track. But don't want semi's since they won't last.

Honestly, I just want something that will last a little longer than 10,000kms [that's how long the RE050As lasted me]. So any S comps are out.

haha yea long life and sticky tires don't go in same sentence

Toyo T1R is pretty good ultra high performance street tire.

Kumho has their new Escta XS comming out can't wait to try those.

Dunlop Direzza has gotten very good reviews for guys that daily and autoX their car without changing tires.

Yeah I am most likely going DZ101's.
Not a fan of kumho. Not too sure why. Although it would be sick to do lavender flavoured burnouts on their scented tires
I wish FK452's came in my size =[

Hmm yea u have a odd tire size.

I've mainly used Kumho and advans but really depends what type racing you doing.
Also with Kumho its been easier to get tire tech since I've met the head engineer for Kumho designing thier tires. But yea most my guys use Kumho for their AutoX and Street, road course gonna test out the new Escta XS for that and see how it does or else A048 or equivalent Advan tires. Most my guys swap between street and race tires depending what they racing.

I would love some semi's for the track but only have one set of wheels ATM and can't justify buying another set since I want my S13.
I might buy some nankangs for skidpan/drift since they are cheap and shit lol

Will have a look at the advans but not sure if I would prefer them over the DZ101's

yea S13 are nice I technically have 2 of them.

Yea go for DZ101 good bang for the buck.

The Advan's will last about 1 month street driving unless u choose like medium hard or hard compound.

DZ101 is an awesome bang for the buck, however the kumho line, is really nice as well Smile

Checkout my review thread... maybe add your own!
